My name is Steven Robinson,
Since the age of 18, my life has revolved around the forest and wood industry, starting with stacking lumber at a sawmill. I received a certification for lumber grading from the National Hardwood Lumber Association and then went on to receive a Forest Technician degree at Paul Smiths College. It was there that I decided to focus my passion for wood in a more creative way which led me to the Vermont Woodworking School.
My eye has trained to recognize different species of wood and unusual figure. I learned grade, smell, color, texture, figure in grain, and cellular structures of different species, everything one would need to know about a single board. I feel this adds to my depth as a true craftsman.
Every step it takes to bring a piece of fine furniture to your home, I have the skills for. From felling the tree, milling the wood, deciding the appropriate boards to use for your specific design, and finally, executing a spectacular build that will last for generations.
I'm ready when you are!
